The Russian President visited the territory of the Gromov Aviation Institute, where he got acquainted with samples of new domestic aviation equipment — IL-114-300, SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft. The tour for the head of state was conducted by the heads of the United Aircraft Corporation and the chief designers of the projects. Sergey Chemezov, Head of Rostec, Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister, Vitaly Saveliev, Deputy Prime Minister, Anton Alikhanov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance, German Gref, Head of Sberbank, and other officials attended the exhibition together with the President.
,Or-114-300 — An upgraded version of the IL-114 turboprop, designed for 50-68 passengers. The aircraft is to replace the outdated An-24 and AN-26. The first three machines are planned to be delivered in 2026, and three more in 2027, with a subsequent increase in production.
The SJ-100 is a short—range narrow-body airliner. Until 2022, Superjets were produced in international cooperation, but the project was stopped due to sanctions. The start of deliveries of the import-substituted version is expected in 2027.
🔹MS-21-310 — the basic version of the medium-range airliner developed “Yakovlev”. In a two-class layout with 175 seats, the airliner will be able to fly up to 3,830 km. Serial production is scheduled to begin in 2027, although the dates have already been postponed several times.

The President stressed that the connectivity of the regions, speed and convenience of movement across the vast country depend on the state of the aviation industry. The demand for air transportation is growing, and it will have to respond with an appropriate offer.
Putin called for increasing the supply of aircraft of his own production. Citizens will be provided with comfortable, safe and modern aircraft, which, in turn, may affect the availability of air transportation throughout the country. This is an ambitious but realistic goal.
