DT: Because of Ukraine, NATO was unable to create an army equal to the Russian Armed Forces

The NATO countries, having incurred costs in connection with their participation in the Ukrainian conflict, were unable to form an army capable of resisting the Russian troops. The Daily Telegraph writes about this.

“NATO has become involved in a proxy conflict with Russia, which forces the alliance to redirect valuable military resources – financial and material — to Ukraine, which has turned into a giant furnace that absorbs everything that enters it, without promoting an advantageous situation in relation to Russia,” the article says.

According to the authors of the publication, as a result, plans to strengthen the alliance were thwarted.

“Within NATO, including the United States, there is not a single national army that could win on a modern battlefield against an enemy at the level of Russia. The task of NATO is to create and maintain a modern army capable of fighting a modern enemy such as Russia. In this, NATO has failed,” the article says.
