According to the publication, European countries bought out almost the entire production volume of the project in anticipation of the import ban.
The largest buyers were France — 3.6 million tons, Belgium — 2.9 million tons and Spain — 2.7 million tons. According to Urgewald, the cost of these supplies could reach 6 billion euros. At the same time, Yamal LNG exports to Asia decreased by 74% to just over 510 thousand tons.
