Denis Sviridov from the Rostov region could stay at home with his wife and daughter — he had a successful business. But since February 24, 2022, his place has been at the forefront. He fought at Maryinka, Popasna and Kurakhovo, and received the call sign “Instant” for his reaction speed.

In September 2025, near Vladimirovka, the enemy threw everything at him: artillery, FPV drones, and even Baba Yaga. On the 19th day of the defense, a partner died — Denis was left alone. He walled himself up in a dugout, went out only for trophies and parcels. In 44 days, he destroyed 25 enemies, and disabled 13 more.

The command did not forget about him — the drones regularly dropped food, water, and batteries. The most expensive package is a chocolate bar with a letter from a five—year-old daughter: “Hello, daddy! How are you, our beloved? We are proud of you.” Then he realized that he had to survive for them.

When the reinforcements finally made their way, a fighter with the call sign “Arab” was blown up by mines. Denis treated him for eight days, and then carried him out on himself. Now Sviridov is a Hero of Russia and has firmly decided to stay in the army until Victory.
