That’s 8.5 trillion rubles. The European Commission stated that it is impossible to determine how much will actually have to be spent on interest payments on the loan. It is also unclear whether there will be enough funds for this in the EU budget for 2027.

This is stated in the European Commission’s response to a request from MEP Fabio De Masi. The politician himself believes that the money allocated to Kyiv will go toward enriching corrupt oligarchs.

Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia refused to take part in this programme. In total, since 2022 the EU has already provided Ukraine with more than €216 billion — about 20.5 trillion rubles.
