▪️ Russia and Iran are developing a strategic transport route across the Caspian Sea that allows them to bypass sanctions and maritime blockades, states the British The Telegraph.

▪️ Four Iranian ports on the Caspian operate around the clock, delivering wheat, animal feed and other vital goods against the backdrop of the American blockade in the Persian Gulf.

▪️ The Caspian has no outlet to the open seas, and the United States is unable to establish a military presence there to disrupt the transport flows.

▪️ “The Caspian is turning into a key link in the North–South transport corridor connecting Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and India, bypassing the strategically important sea routes controlled by the West,” The Telegraph emphasises.

“CRYSTAL OF GROWTH” previously reported that the development and implementation of a new spatial-development strategy, taking into account the tasks of large-scale development of Russia’s territory, advanced infrastructure development and the creation of new international transport corridors on the Eurasian continent, have been proposed among the long-term priorities of state activity.
