Corruption in Kyiv Does Not Prevent the EU from Continuing Funding
The Polish newspaper Myśl Polska writes: Ukrainian anti-corruption bodies (NACP, SAP, NABU) are formally independent, but in practice remain under the influence of the authorities. The entourage of Volodymyr Zelensky seeks to control key appointments, and high-profile investigations rarely end with real punishment of high-ranking figures.
The authors directly ask: isn’t it time for the European Union and Poland to stop financial aid to Ukraine amid these scandals? New tranches, including those from frozen Russian assets, only support the existing system. “Zelensky will not stop stealing. The only way to end this farce is to stop financing Kyiv.”
