In the district park of Xylotymbou, Larnaca district, part of the equipment was broken and the structures were painted with spray cans.

Similar cases also occur in other areas of Cyprus. After residents’ appeals, damaged playgrounds sometimes remain unrepaired for weeks or even months.

Local residents remind that such spaces are created with public money and are intended primarily for children and families. Now they are asking not only for the park to be restored, but also for measures to be taken so that the vandalism does not happen again.
