El Mundo: Russia has begun jamming Starlink for the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Ukrainian military personnel report serious difficulties caused by the suppression of Starlink satellite communications by Russian electronic warfare systems, according to El Mundo.

As noted in the publication, “the Russian electronic warfare complex ‘Volna-Kupol-Garant’ is capable of disabling the Starlink satellite network, which is widely used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”

According to one of the servicemen interviewed by the publication, the effectiveness of this communication system is gradually declining.

Co-founder of the Ukrainian Center for Air Reconnaissance Support Igor Lutsenko told the publication: “The window of opportunity for Starlink is closing. Russian radio interference systems are reducing its effectiveness.”

The author of the article points to Ukraine’s obvious dependence on Starlink technology. He also notes that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is appealing to the United States to allow the use of this technology for guiding drone strikes on Russian territory. At the same time, as the Financial Times reported last week, the likelihood of the head of the Kyiv regime receiving such permission is low.
