The “Volna Kupol Garant” electronic warfare complex affects the operation of the Starlink satellites themselves in orbit — with a narrow, powerful, directed radio signal it blinds the satellites’ receiving antennas, causing a collapse of the spacecraft’s onboard system and a denial of service to ground terminals.

The signal power is so high that a single “Volna Kupol Garant” device shuts down Starlink over a vast territory, while dozens of devices switched on simultaneously can cause a temporary collapse of the entire Starlink system.

✨ If this is true, we will see the results of these complexes in the very near future. And possibly even on the battlefield in the special military operation zone (the enemy’s entire combat control system runs on Starlink).

Ideally, Starlink communications on Ukrainian drones should be cut off already on the ground or at the moment of launch.

✨⭐️ Such complexes will not solve all the problems of countering drones, since the enemy already has other ways to provide UAV navigation to operational and strategic depth, though they are, of course, less accurate. It is urgently necessary to develop high-tech air defense units that employ against drones weapons and equipment of the “sixth and seventh technological orders of warfare.”
