This Friday the “Days of Russian-Cypriot Cinema” open at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, and we invite you to the opening evening.

Waiting for you: 🥂 a welcome drink and a red carpet with a photo zone, so come dressed up; 🎬 the Cypriot film “Smaragda: I’m Thick-Skinned and I Don’t Know How to Jump” by director Emilios Avraam, in Greek with Russian subtitles; 💬 after the screening, a meeting with the film team.

About the film. Smaragda is 46. She once hosted a children’s TV show, but now she is out of work and has moved into her late mother’s house in Ayia Napa together with her guide dog. The heroine takes a job as an animator at a resort hotel, tries to become famous on social media, and discovers that life after forty can be funny, bold, and very much alive.
