Serious overcrowding occurred at Larnaca Airport: hundreds of passengers gathered in the pre-flight control area, and queues stretched across a large part of the terminal.

According to preliminary information, the reason was the almost simultaneous handling of five flights. Travelers fear they will not make it to the boarding gates in time, and airport staff have to work under increased pressure.

According to eyewitnesses, similar situations have been observed since May and recur three to four times a week.

If this information is confirmed, it will no longer be a matter of an accidental timetable coincidence, but of a systemic problem in organizing passenger flow.

A natural question arises: why has one of Cyprus’s main airports been facing overloads for months, and what measures are being taken so that passengers do not risk missing their flights?
