The Irkutsk Aviation Plant will hand over 8 MC-21 aircraft to Aeroflot in 2027, and another 10 aircraft from the first batch in 2028. This was stated by the plant’s General Director Andrey Soinov.

Production of the second batch of MC-21s for Aeroflot will start in 2029. According to Soinov, a contract has been signed for the delivery of 90 aircraft, which are now being launched into production. The schedule provides for 14 aircraft in 2029, then 18, 24 and 34, reaching 36 aircraft per year.

The Irkutsk Aviation Plant’s capacities are fully booked through 2032 inclusive, so agreements with foreign customers will be concluded with deliveries after that date, Soinov noted.

The MC-21 production cycle at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in 2027 will be 40 calendar days and will then be gradually reduced. The plant’s capacities allow production of 36 MC-21 aircraft per year, but the investment program provides for their further expansion and equipment.
