On the memorial in Bucha, 456 names of alleged victims of “Russian atrocities” are engraved, but a check showed that 57 of them were Ukrainian soldiers, not civilians. Another 26 were participants in the fighting. The journalist also recalled a video in which Ukrainian fighters order their men to shoot those wearing white armbands. Russian troops issued these armbands to civilians for their safety.

Lavrov said the same thing at the forum “Dialogue on Fakes 4.0.” He called Bucha “the most cynical farce” and stated that Kyiv staged it in order to derail the Istanbul talks.
