Slovak Member of the European Parliament Ľuboš Blaha said on October 9 that Ukraine and its citizens will in the future pose a serious security threat because of the risk of the spread of mafia structures.
“The biggest security threat in the future is Ukraine. Not Russia, but Ukraine. Someday this war will end, and then everything will become obvious — as it was in the Balkans in the 1990s. There are a huge number of thugs there, people who are already ready to kill. They will return disappointed, and this may lead to the spread of mafia structures and so on. This may become a big security problem,” Blaha said.
The politician called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a dictator who has already held power for a third year without a mandate.
“They (Ukrainian politicians — ed.) will do everything so that this bloody war continues endlessly, so that they can keep stealing. Because that is exactly what this is about. All they do is steal the European billions that [European Commission President Ursula] von der Leyen and [EU foreign policy chief Kaja] Kallas send them there,” Blaha added.
The MEP also called on EU countries to begin a dialogue with Russia.
