From October 11 to 17, 2026, the X World Games of Young Compatriots will be held in Moscow, which this year are being held for the first time in an expanded format with the participation of countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Cyprus is represented at the international competitions by two young chess players — Maria Pankrashkina and Alexander Grigoriev. The team is accompanied by coach Anna Kailu.

Ahead of the children is a rich program: chess tournaments in rapid and blitz, meetings with peers from different countries of the world, new acquaintances, and bright impressions.

In addition to sports competitions, the organizers have prepared an extensive cultural and educational program. Participants are awaiting excursions around Moscow, visits to its main attractions, and much more!

♟ We wish our team luck, worthy results, and unforgettable impressions from the trip to Moscow!
