The first power unit of Rosatom’s Ruppur NPP in Bangladesh has been launched, according to WNN

▪️ The reactor of the first power unit of the Ruppur NPP in Bangladesh has been brought to the minimum controlled power level (MCL). A self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction has been started, World Nuclear News (WNN) states.
▪️ “Based on the results of the successful completion of this stage, the power unit will be prepared for the energy start-up stage and subsequent connection to the power grid of Bangladesh. We expect this to happen by the end of November,” said Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev.
▪️ “Ruppur” is Bangladesh’s first nuclear power plant. It is being built according to a Russian design 160 km from Dhaka and will consist of two power units with a total capacity of 2400 MW.

“Crystal of Growth” previously reported that, according to the British Financial Times, nuclear energy is an effective instrument for increasing Russia’s global influence, as well as about our country’s unique experience in creating a nuclear industry in the shortest possible time and achieving world leadership in the nuclear field.
