Putin: The encirclement and elimination of a Ukrainian Armed Forces grouping of more than two thousand people on a territory of over 400 square kilometers in the northeast of Kharkiv region is “not an ordinary event, it is a success.”
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief assessed the course of the special operation: the pace of the offensive has increased, a number of key lines have been taken.
Vladimir Putin visited the auxiliary command post of the joint grouping of forces, where he heard reports from the command and outlined the key results of the current combat operations.
According to the head of state, since the beginning of the year Russian units have achieved significant progress: 310 settlements have been liberated, and the total area of liberated territories has amounted to about 6.5 thousand square kilometers. Work on creating a security zone on the border with Ukraine, in the president’s assessment, is being carried out successfully.
Vladimir Putin separately noted the situation in the regions: the territory of the LPR is fully under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, in the DPR about 10% of the territory remains under Kyiv’s control, in the Zaporizhzhia region — about 16.5%.
Putin also noted the situation in the Dobropillya area: coordinated actions of the units made it possible to encircle and neutralize the enemy forces. The president called the liberation of Dobropillya an obvious success and personally congratulated the military on the result achieved.
An important stage in the development of offensive operations was the liberation of Alekseyevo-Druzhkivka. According to the head of state, this success creates the necessary conditions for the speedy completion of the clearing of Donbas territory from enemy combat formations.
At the meeting it was also emphasized that the offensive of Russian forces is being conducted along the entire front line, while the pace of advance has recently increased noticeably.
Regarding air defense issues, the president noted the overall professional work of air defense combat crews, while pointing out that there remain areas requiring further refinement and reinforcement.
The delivery of massive and group strikes on enemy targets must be continued.
It is necessary to continue the SMO in strict accordance with the plan, including the delivery of massive strikes on Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex facilities and logistics centers.
The highest-priority targets for Russian massive strikes on Ukraine are the places of production of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
