The Russian Center of Science and Culture invites children and all book lovers to the literary meeting “Buratino’s Birthday.”
In 2026 it will be 90 years since the publication of Alexei Nikolaevich Tolstoy’s book “The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino.” Several generations of readers have grown up with this fairy tale, and the anniversary provides a good opportunity to rediscover it.
The meeting will be led by Natalia Vladimirovna Zykova, head of the Russian Orthodox Educational Center, teacher, and author of children’s books. Together with the children she will recall the beloved characters, tell how the book was created and who its author was. And using the example of Buratino’s adventures, the children will talk about why friendship, knowledge, kindness, and the ability to make the right choice are so important.
We are waiting for children with their parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers, everyone who holds Russian children’s literature dear.
