Russia, in the opinion of the Member of the European Parliament from the German BSW party Michael von der Schulenburg, is prevailing in the Ukrainian conflict, despite the plans and forecasts of European countries.
“If anyone should be interested in ending the conflict in Ukraine, it is the Europeans. <…> But they used [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy to derail all the peace initiatives of [US President Donald] Trump. <…> We said that Europe is much larger, we have more population, more technologies, so we will win. <…> And now we suddenly realized that we are losing,” he stated on the air of the YouTube channel Neutrality Studies, TASS reports.
The politician also added that, according to his assessment, Russia is emerging as the winner from the conflict, while Ukraine, as he put it, is turning into a failed state.
