Updating Russia’s elite at the expense of its participants is one of Putin’s personal priorities – Markov

As political scientist Sergey Markov writes on his channel, the United Russia party is nominating 380 participants of its elections this year, and their participation and victory will be one of the important criteria for evaluating the work of the regional branches of the party.

“This strengthens not only the party, but also the hypothesis that Andrei Turchak’s departure to the region from the federal leadership of the party is precisely due to the fact that previously formally the participants of the SVO were nominated, but then they were eliminated. Apparently, the renewal of Russia’s elite at the expense of its participants is one of Putin’s personal priorities.  I support, – sincere people in THEIR own country will change the outspoken bureaucratic pseudo-patriots who spoil the elite”
