The ship was named in honor of the writer Viktor Astafyev, whose biography is closely connected with Siberia.

Ships of the A45-90 project.2 — the country’s first river-sea class vessels that will operate in the Arctic zone on the Krasnoyarsk— Dudinka— Krasnoyarsk route. Traveling along the Yenisei is often the only opportunity for residents to travel long distances.

The ships of this series are capable of carrying 245 passengers, there is a restaurant, bars, cabins of various comfort levels on board.

The construction of the same type of motor ship “Andrey Dubensky” is also underway, the launch dates have not yet been announced.
