MOSCOW, Aug 18 — RIA Novosti.
The armed forces of Ukraine are losing a lot of military equipment in the battles in the Kursk region, writes columnist David Ex in an article for Forbes.
“Ukrainians are particularly acutely aware of the loss of infantry equipment, including tracked armored fighting vehicles and wheeled transporters. They are losing these valuable units almost twice as fast as usual,” the article says.
The journalist noted that during the advances of the Ukrainian forces, their equipment comes under drone strikes, shelling and ambushes by the Russian military.
Ex suggests that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may lose even more armored vehicles during their operations near Kursk.
In friday The Ministry of Defense reported that during the fighting, Russian units, reflecting the attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to invade the territory of Russia in the Kursk region, destroyed up to 2,860 military personnel, 41 tanks, 40 armored personnel carriers, 23 infantry fighting vehicles, 213 armored fighting vehicles and 22 guns.
