At 0:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 occurred off the coast of Cyprus. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, its epicenter was in the Mediterranean Sea 18 km southwest of Paphos, and the hypocenter was at a depth of 10 km in the earth’s crust. There were quite strong tremors in Limassol.
