Rusatom Wind Blades has launched the production of composite blades for wind turbines in Ulyanovsk. The plant will produce up to 450 blades per year, which will make it possible to complete 150 wind power plants annually.
Investments in the project amounted to 1.67 billion rubles, of which 1.3 billion were provided by the Industrial Development Fund. The blades, 51 meters long and weighing 8.5 tons, were developed in Russia and will become part of the largest Novolakskaya wind farm in Dagestan with a capacity of 300 MW.
The launch of the plant increases the localization of wind power plants in Russia to 85% and strengthens the country’s position in the field of advanced materials. The company has already created 290 jobs, and in the future their number will grow to 410.
