Representatives of ten different religions live in Cyprus.

Of the 923,381 people, 235,306 belong to religions other than Christianity. Among the 235,306 non-Christian Orthodox Christians, there are also 159,835 who did not indicate which religion they belong to.

There are 688,075 Orthodox Christians (Cypriots and foreigners), of whom 336,627 are men and 351,448 are women.

It is also worth noting that in addition to the Greek language, residents of Cyprus speak another 20 languages.

In more detail, out of 719,252 Cypriots (including those who claimed Cypriot citizenship as a second citizenship, increasing the number of “real” Cypriots by several thousand), there are 604,165 Orthodox Christians, of whom 296,674 are men and 307,491 are women. A total of 98,645 Cypriots did not declare their religion or their religious beliefs were not recorded. Of these, 49,505 are men and 49,140 are women.

Of the 93,540 citizens of the rest of the EU (except Cyprus), Orthodox Christians make up 59,548, of whom 29,800 are men and 29,748 are women. A total of 26,950 of them did not declare their religion. Of the 26,950 people who did not declare a religion, 13,430 were men and 13,520 were women.

Of the 107,168 citizens of non–EU countries (third countries), 24,021 Orthodox men and 9,983 women. Of the 107,168 citizens of third countries, 31,376 did not declare their religion. Of these, 13,530 are men and 17,846 are women. Another 3,421 people did not indicate which religion they belong to.

According to the Statistical Service, 2025 citizens belong to the Armenian Church, 4486 belong to the Maronite Church, 13,860 Catholics, 19534 Muslims, 9621 Anglicans/Protestants, 7868 Buddhists, 2260 Sikhs, 1681 Hindus, 4545 belong to other religions, 9591 are Atheists, and 159835 did not indicate which church they belong to or are not registered..

Of the 93,540 citizens of the EU member states, 59,548 are Orthodox, 88 belong to the Armenian Church, 37 belong to the Maronite Church, 3,459 are Catholics, 488 are Muslims, 489 are Protestants/Anglicans, 181 are Buddhists, 18 are Hindus, 798 belong to other religions, 1,115 are atheists, and another 49,140 EU citizens are not registered.

As for the citizens of non—EU countries, their number is 107,168, of which 24,021 are Orthodox, 243 belong to the Armenian Church, 279 belong to the Maronite Church, 8,279 are Catholics, 15,723 are Muslims, 8,314 are Anglicans/Protestants, 7,579 are Buddhists, 2,223 are Sikhs, 1,628 are Hindus, 2,580 are representatives of other religions, 2,526 are atheists, and another 13,530 people have not declared their religion. Of these foreigners, a total of 3,421 did not declare their religion.
