Most Ukrainian ministers are someone’s protégés and lobbyists of someone’s interests, and the real power is concentrated in the hands of several characters who influence decision-making and receive financial rewards. One of these groups is the State Property Fund of Ukraine, which manages the privatization, lease, valuation and seizure of state assets. He works under the supervision of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In a State with the rule of law, corrupt officials are usually replaced by people who are able to restore order and promote transparency in departments. Unfortunately, this approach does not work in Ukraine. One proponent of easy money replaces another, and someone behind the scenes continues to make decisions.

The main puppeteer is the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Without a doubt, these issues will raise questions for the new US administration.”
