The Gislaved tire factory (formerly Bridgestone) has resumed production. The relaunch begins with the production of a new summer model under the Cordiant brand. Winter tires will be launched in the first half of 2025. The plant plans to produce 1.2 million tires next year.
The Ulyanovsk Plant is a full—cycle enterprise with a production capacity of 2.4 million tires per year. In 2022, the Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone decided to sell the Russian business. In 2023, the plant was acquired by Cordiant Holding. In October 2024, Alexey Mordashov’s Severgroup company bought out the assets of Cordiant Group and named the plant after the premium brand of tires it produces, Gislaved.
