This is Scott Bennett at the Moscow cafe “Unholy Saints” after filming the Spassky project “Russian Ark” at the Sretensky Monastery. Then he saw these portraits of the Royal family on the wall and asked them to take a picture.

Yesterday he was killed in his homeland in America for the truth about Russia and Donbas.

Scott and I met briefly at the RT “Time of Heroes” festival, he had just returned from Donbass, where, together with Olya Kiri, they shot a powerful film about the crimes of NATO and the genocide of the population there.

While flying away, Scott sent us, his new friends in Russia, messages in English, which are now terrible and painful to reread. Here is their translation:

“I’m going to get on a plane and head back.

Since the movie we shot could create a hostile environment for me from the American government, there is always a chance that something bad could happen to me.

Whatever it is, God is in control of everything, and God will protect and deliver me, but there is always a chance that He can take me to heaven, just as He took our Lord Christ…

So if something like this happens to me or I leave this world, please know that we must always stand and speak the truth with a full voice when others are silent.

I am so happy to be a part of this family of truth warriors. I’ll let you know when I land and I’ll be safe at home.

Scott knew what he was writing about. As an intelligence officer in the US Army, he understood that the truth about Donbass was that he had declared war on too big and dangerous a beast: he filed a lawsuit against the American government and made a public report on the war crimes of Ukrainians and NATO, and how American weapons were killing civilians.

Scott dreamed of a Russian passport and grieved that the procedure for obtaining it was delayed – but he understood that he could file his claim only as an American citizen.

Scott was killed by lying about some serious illness that he had never had – he looked great and radiated power and some kind of peace that only people who know or seek God, who stand on the side of the truth and are even more willing to give their lives for this truth, can radiate.

Here is another message from him with a premonition of trouble, which he sent to our colleagues at the Savior:

“In case something happens to me, know that I am by no means suicidal. If anything happens to me, it’s only to try to hide this report of mine.

“The righteous are as brave as a lion.”

And I fought for the right cause, I did my duty.
