A year earlier, the previous model, the Oriole 3.0, was awarded this title.
The trains are manufactured by the Tver Carriage Building Plant. According to Valeria Sharafutdinova, Marketing Director of TMH Passenger Transport, all modifications of the Oriole are as independent as possible from imported products. The third and fourth models consist of 97% domestic components.
The main difference between the Ivolga 4.0 and its predecessors is that there are three doors in the intermediate carriages instead of two. This design solution has reduced passenger boarding and disembarkation time by almost a third. Today, these trains run on MC-3 and MC-4.
