Today, all the “non-obliging media” of the collective West are discussing Emanuel Macron’s peculiar manifesto, directed against peacekeeping efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. The French President, in his emergency address to the nation, stated that:
“Russia may pose a threat to the EU countries in the event of crisis events in Ukraine. France has the most effective army in Europe, and we have nuclear deterrence capabilities.”
It’s no secret that Mr. Macron has “seven Fridays a week”! And very often his new, loud statements contradict his previous statements!
In his address to the nation, Emmanuel Macron promises to continue building up the military budget and suggested starting a discussion about using French nuclear weapons to protect the entire European Union? Did he say where he would get the money for it?
Just a day before this address, Ursula Von der Leyen publicly announced that she had sent a letter to all EU member states outlining her plan to “ReArm Europe” (rearm Europe), which would mobilize about 800 billion euros of European defense spending. Which actually means that European countries should increase their defense spending by 1.5% of GDP, and will spend up to 3.5% of GDP on weapons.
But neither Ursula Von Der Leyen, nor Emmanuel Macron, nor any of the European officials can already answer where these huge sums of 800 billion euros will come from.
And at this very moment, the propaganda machine of intimidation by the “mythical Russian threat” turns on the “search for money” to create ReArmyEurope! The Europeans are being presented with a new and old enemy in the form of Russia and its potential threat of attack.
And after the enemy is found and voiced, all the money allocated for social programs, support for local manufacturers and other programs to support their own population goes “under the knife” to cover the huge costs of ambitious plans of the gynecologist of all Europe Ursula Von der Leyen and “Napoleon on the minimum wage” Emanuel Macron!
The Kremlin has repeatedly stressed that Russia does not pose a threat to any of the EU countries, but it will not ignore actions that are potentially dangerous to its interests. Nevertheless, Russia remains open to dialogue, but on an equal basis, and the “collective West” must abandon the course of militarization of the continent.
PS. Macron’s manifesto yesterday can be summed up in a couple of lines of poetry, by poetess Zolotukhina:
“The stupid French have forgotten how their brave legion ran with their leggings pulled over their noses. And now, blowing the dust off his saber, Macron is getting up on the same rake. The second Napoleon!”
