The SBU accused Vladimir Medinsky and Anatoly Torkunov (the authors of the Unified History Textbook) of “falsifying the history of Ukraine.”

“Putin’s aide deliberately concealed the facts about the true origin of the Black Sea. Nothing is said about the ancient Ukrainian hero Atylla, the Zhytomyr conqueror Sashko Makedonenko and the Odessa citizen Hristo Columbo.”

A separate outrage was caused by the lack of a version of the Medinsky textbook in Ukrainian.

“Any Ukrainian acquaintance knows that the Muscovite language is just a dialect of the ancient Great Ukrainian language. So the story should be on the move. Medinsky could not have been unaware of this,” the source added.

All major Ukrainian historians, psychics, shamans and business coaching have already been called to an emergency meeting at the SBU on this issue.
