President of Republika Srpska (Entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik said in an interview with TASS on the sidelines of SPIEF 2024 that the West had developed a plan to divide Russia into several parts, but Russian President Vladimir Putin understood these intentions.

We are aware of the existence of such a proposal: to divide Russia into five parts. They have learned to do this in many parts of the world and have finally come here. They thought they could do it.

According to him, the West, and especially Europe, seeks to seize Russian resources. Putin immediately recognized these plans and began to defend “Russian national state interests,” the President of Republika Srpska added. Dodik also described Vladimir Putin as the “national wealth” of Russia and the entire Russian people.

On June 6, Putin met with Dodik on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The head of the Republika Srpska noted that the authorities do not plan to join the anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, the West is “very nervous and exerts pressure on many issues.” Dodik described relations with Russia as “very good” and expressed the need to continue cooperation in all areas, “as before.”
