The anniversary international rafting forum, which brought together athletes from nine countries of the world, ended in Altai. The forum participants not only overcame the extreme rapids of the turbulent Chuya River, but also discovered the beauty and cultural heritage of the region.
As part of the New Generation program, the delegates visited the Chuy Highway, climbed the Aktru Glacier, explored the ancient petroglyphs of Kalbak-Tash, and saw the unique Geyser Lake.
On the water, the teams successfully passed the legendary Turbina, Horizon, and the most formidable Behemoth rapids, confirming their high level of training and team spirit.
It is particularly significant that a member of the Youth Club of Russian Compatriots in the Republic of Cyprus, Vladimiros Gorin, participated in the forum.
“This is my first time in Gorno-Altaysk, and I fell in love with the nature from the very first moment. We climbed the Aktru Glacier and saw various petroglyphs and cave paintings,” Vladimiros shared his impressions.
The forum was a true celebration of sports, friendship, and cultural exchange. It left a lasting impression on the participants and confirmed Altai’s status as a hub for international outdoor activities.
