The United Aviation Corporation (UAC) has begun flight certification tests of the Russian SJ-100 short-haul aircraft.

“This flight marked the beginning of the flight test program, which form an essential part of the work on certification of an import-substituted modification of the aircraft. In total, we have to complete about 200 flights by the end of 2025… These tests will allow us to guarantee the safety of millions of passengers who will be on board the SJ-100 in the coming years,” the UAC said.

The flight duration was 2.5 hours, it passed normally, 15 test modes were performed, no equipment failures were recorded.
