RUSSIA WILL SURPASS THE RECORD FOR FERTILIZER EXPORTS IN 2021

Current indicators of the volume of exports of Russian fertilizers have steadily recovered to a record level in 2021. By the end of the year, a new record will be set, experts say.

Against the background of anti-Russian sanctions, fertilizer supplies from Russia to Europe and North America decreased by 26% in 2022. The drop was fully offset by an increase in supplies to friendly countries.

75% of Russian fertilizer supplies in 2023 came from friendly countries. The main growth in export volumes was recorded in the following areas:

9.4 million tons — 20% growth — Brazil

5.4 million tons — 1.5 times growth — India

1.6 million tons — 2 times growth — African countries

18% is Russia’s share in the global market of mineral fertilizers.
