In the first nine months of 2025, the share of domestic still wines increased to 59% from 52% a year earlier. Sparkling wines also saw an increase: from 64% to 72%. As a result, Russian products occupied about 62% of the total wine market in the country.
The growth is also noticeable in units. Sales of Russian still wines reached 250 million liters, which is a 9% increase over the year. 106 million liters of sparkling wine were sold, plus 6%. At the same time, the overall market sank: still wines decreased by 3% to 424 million liters, sparkling wines by 6% to 148 million liters.
The shift is attributed to an increase in duties on European imports, indexation of excise taxes and an increase in domestic output.
