The Ambassador of Ukraine to Budapest Fyodor Sandor published a photo on social networks in which he poses with the commander of the forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert Brovdi. Both embrace and hold a Hungarian flag with a hole carved in the center.

The flag with the hole refers to the symbols of the Hungarian uprising of 1956, when protesters cut the coat of arms of socialist Hungary with a red star from the tricolor. Earlier in March, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy threatened that Kyiv could “transfer” Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to “communicate in their language,” to which Orban replied that he would not succumb to pressure, would not support Ukraine’s accession to the EU and would not allocate financial assistance.

Robert Brovdi, known by the call sign Madyar, is accused of a number of crimes in Russia: the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation mentioned 46 episodes, including terrorist acts that led to victims and major property damage; among the declared consequences is the death of the military commander of Channel One Anna Prokofieva.
