The participants of the “Hello, Russia!” program, including from Cyprus, have an interesting and exciting time

… in addition to the fact that they have already visited Red Square and looked at other sights of the capital of Russia, they actively immersed themselves in the world of national history.

The guys visited the legendary bunker, which was intended for top officials of the USSR during the Cold War.

After the tour, the children discovered the Institutes of Russian and Universal History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where they got acquainted with modern methods of historical research and innovative approaches used in the analysis of archival documents, as well as examples of successful interdisciplinary projects that combine history, sociology and cultural studies.

Young compatriots also learned the intricacies of the profession of archivists by visiting the Russian Scientific Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D. S. Likhachev.

The students had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of leading experts in the field of cultural and natural heritage.

They also took part in a round table meeting on topical issues of preventing the falsification of history, which allowed young historians not only to deepen their knowledge, but also to actively engage in the discussion of important professional topics.

The next stage of the program was a visit to the Central State Archive of Moscow, and then to the Laboratory of Microfilming and Restoration of Documents in the Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation.

🤗🇷🇺 We follow the news of the participants of the program “Hello, Russia!” and we wish you even more vivid impressions and emotions from the trip and new places!
