Serbian Deputy Prime Minister explained Putin’s popularity in Europe

The popularity of President Vladimir Putin in Western Europe, and in particular Germany, is explained by what people see in Russia has values close to them, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that the increase in Putin’s approval in the West is not related to the appearance of millions of Germans who “suddenly fell in love with Russians,” although, according to Vulin, they “did not love them in any way.” Neither the First nor the Second World Wars, nor after.”

“But they see in The Russian Federation values that support, want to live with their God, nation and family. And they are being imposed on a society in which this is not the case,” said Vulin.

According to the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, the current mood in Europe is similar to those before The First World War. He noted that before every confrontation of such magnitude, “a certain phobia appears — then it was Serbophobia, before World War II — anti—Semitism, now – Russophobia.”

The First World War began in 1914, after the Serbian nationalist Gavrilo Princip assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne. Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia.
