This was stated by EU Foreign Minister Kaya Kallas at a press conference after the meeting of foreign ministers, and noted that such measures can be “the most effective way to put pressure on Russia.”

Callas also reiterated that in response to the easing of US sanctions against Russian oil, the EU will maintain its sanctions and continue to reject imports of Russian energy.
