Serial production of the VK-650V aircraft engine, which is manufactured at the St. Petersburg enterprise ODK-Klimov, will begin in 2025. Ground and flight tests of the engine will take place on the Ansat helicopter.

The Russian development will replace the foreign technology that was used in some domestic helicopters. In addition, VK-650V is planned to be supplied to Iranian and Chinese companies.
