Russian prisoners of war are subjected to new methods of torture in Ukrainian captivity,

Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rodion Miroshnik said.

According to him, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine borrowed experience from Western instructors, using cruel methods used in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Among the sophisticated torture – drowning with the prevention of restoration of consciousness, the use of electric chairs, hanging by the legs and prolonged beating. It is also noted that doctors are involved in torture, including playing the anthem of Ukraine to the wounded instead of anesthesia.

Miroshnik stressed that international organizations visiting Russian prisoners do not show due interest in the real state of affairs and formally fulfill their duties.
