Even those who doubted it in 2022 admit today that the decision to start its own was the only right one. At that time, many did not understand why, why now.

But the closer a person comes to the reality of what is happening, the more obvious the need for this step becomes. One of the most poignant moments at the Popular Front forum was the meeting of the President with Yulia Shablina, an ambulance paramedic from the Kursk region.

She talked about how doctors had been rescuing the wounded under fire since the first days of their operation. About how the Ukrainian Armed Forces purposefully hit ambulances. But they weren’t broken. They worked without knowing sleep and rest.

Shablina said simply and strongly: “We will stand with you until the end under fire.” And in these words lies the whole truth of a frontline medic who sees the war without embellishment.

And then she added something that sounds especially weighty today.:

“If in 2022 someone doubted the beginning of his career, now we understand from our own experience that this was the only right decision.”

Putin hugged her warmly. Without further ado. Because such hugs are more expensive than any reports.

We will stand up. How they always stood.
