— the founders of the Russian Orthodox Educational Centre in Cyprus.
The conversation began with the Church of Saint Lazarus. For the Zykovs this place is special: it was here, at the church above the tomb of Lazarus the Four-Days-Dead, that the first Russian-language Sunday school on the island opened almost thirty years ago. From it grew the centre that today engages in education, pilgrimage, and the preservation of the memory of the Russian presence in Cyprus — including the study of the old Russian necropolis.
The meeting was long and thorough. They outlined directions for joint work and the first shared events.
