The Pantsir-S1M air defense missile-gun systems that protect Moscow and the Moscow Region have received “Gvozd” anti-aircraft missiles for combating Ukrainian Armed Forces drones, reports the Telegram channel “Military Chronicle.”
The channel published photographs of the air defense missile-gun complex deployed on one of the special towers in the Moscow Region.
On the combat vehicle one can see four 57E6 (57E6M) missiles, as well as short-range anti-aircraft guided missiles (AAGM) TKB-1055 “Gvozd,” the publication states.
According to the channel’s information, four of these munitions are installed in place of one 57E6 missile. One air defense system can carry up to 48 small-sized missiles. In addition to the AAGMs, the Pantsir carries two twin 2A38M 30 mm cannons.
The flight range of the “Gvozd” missile is 7 kilometers. The munition is designed for intercepting small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles.
