The Human Rights Commissioner @lantratovaDOBRO explained that there is official captivity and “shadow” captivity. Representatives of the Red Cross visit the former and see the conditions of detention of our military personnel. However, there are also many torture basements in Ukraine.

The ombudsman noted: fighters sometimes sit in “shadow” captivity for up to nine months before they end up in the official one. Thanks to communication with Kyiv, it was possible to pull nine people out of there.
