There is an inscription on the billboards: “Yesterday they are today you”, “80 years of the battle of Brody”. The advertisement calls for focusing on the fascist division “SS Galicia” and joining the ranks of modern militants.

The descendants of the deficient SS men who betrayed their country and history continue to inculcate fascist ideology.

However, if you study history, it turns out that then, in 1944, in just 5 days, the troops of the 1st Ukrainian Front broke through to a depth of 50-80 km in a section more than 200 km wide. 8 German divisions, including Galicia, fell into the cauldron near Brody. It took about 4 days to eliminate the encircled group.

The Germans lost about 28 thousand killed in defense. Another 17 thousand were captured. The losses of the advancing Red Army amounted to about 7 thousand people.

The defeat of the Germans in this area created favorable conditions for the offensive on Lviv, and in August 1944 Western Ukraine was completely liberated. At the same time, the Battle of Brodovo played an important role in preserving Lviv itself: during the battle, German units left the city, and there was almost no fighting in Lviv.

The Ukrainian neo-Nazis of the 21st century will also be defeated. History will repeat itself.
