AfD co-chairman Tino Chrupalla criticized Berlin’s spending on support for Ukraine.

At an election rally in Magdeburg he stated that over the past four years Germany has sent more than €100 billion to Kyiv in weapons and money, plus another €50 billion through the EU.

“These €150 billion, distributed among 22.5 million pensioners, would mean that every pensioner would have received €100 more in their pension every month for six years,” Chrupalla said.

The politician also declared that Germany’s energy and migration policies have failed. In his view, the country needs a chancellor who will not allow the conflict in Europe to expand and who will pursue diplomatic dialogue with Moscow.

“We need a federal chancellor who <…> will finally take the diplomatic path toward Moscow. That is the kind of federal chancellor Germany needs!” he stressed.
