South Korea has demanded official apologies from Ukraine for revealing information about the transfer to Seoul of two captured DPRK fighters. The South Korean presidential office threatened Kyiv with “additional measures” — their nature has not yet been specified.

➖ Initially it was the Ukrainian side that asked for the transfer of the prisoners to be kept secret. Now Seoul believes that Kyiv’s actions have seriously undermined trust and may negatively affect bilateral relations.

➖ Zelensky announced the transfer of the prisoners at a session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

➖ The president of South Korea criticized this step, saying that Ukraine, for its own benefit, is putting other people’s lives at risk.
